    Remote printing to a copier

I am looking for a solution that would allow a user to print from their home to the copier in the office where the documents would be held in a private password protected queue until released.

I know about Papercut Mobility print.

I know about Microsoft Universal Print but that is a heavy duty Enterrprise print solution with both signficant IT overhead and costs. I am looking for a solution for the SMB space.

Toshiba has released eBridge Global Print but this requires a MS365 subscription.

    Any other ideas?

A MS365 subscription is very inexpensive.

Interesting to think about. In this case, I am quoting a Toshiba product and it has both VPN and Hold print capabilities. Something worthy of a test although my customer is not tech savy and does not have a VPN.

Unless it's a sole proprietor business, I'd be leery of a rogue VPN a business environment. Of course if the business signs off on it and accepts the risk, then have at it!

... it is a Church spread across three distant locations with low tech skills, no IT person and high print volume. I do not want to make the Church vulnerable to any kind of malware attack becuase of something that I suggested so the VPN idea idea is out.

I asked this question years back (print across VPN). I addressed it to our current IT provider, and they told me that it would be an unacceptable security risk, (I'm not sure why). They said that it was certainly possible and definitely not recommended. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Potentially the church could get a VPN set up pretty cheaply with decent hardware. There's always techsoup for non-profit orgs...

I use Anydesk so I experimented and successfully printed to an es2050c set to default to Private Print with a preset code.

... so let's think about that. The copier is at location A and the computer is at location B many miles away.

The Computer at B creates a file that needs to be printed. How does the file get from B to A?

Is B connecting to a computer at A, taking control of that computer via Anydesk (unattended) and directing it to print to the copier. The file will reside on the copier's HDD as a Private print job until the user arrives at A and releases it.
