    Resets to parameters to original

Old Machine , trade in time

PS Kyocera'a always had eco mode in any machine that printed

Old machine had access to command changes from web page you can double to see if something is checked or changed

bsn2, thanks for the suggestion. I was afraid to do a reset as it was unknown how many parameters I would need to change back, guess what, ONLY the Print Density D4 changed from 5 (the darkest) to 3 (the middle setting). Since that didn't improve the situation I reset D4 back to 5, still just as light as before.
If anybody has any revelations leading to a solution, I would be happy to hear them, otherwise I feel I'm at a dead end. Trade it time? Everything else with this machine works great and the copy counter is still very low, that's a tough sell.
    Thanks guys for your input!

The reset should not effect anything unless it was changed.
Since your machine is screwed up it.

PS almost never ever had to do any frpo changes to equip
Unless some tech screwed with them or Kyocera recommend.

This is an old machine an I think still has old style pots you could turn with screwdriver on the hv board guessing someone tweak it.
