If iit is not changed or at least emptied on a regular basis toner will bypass it and damage the motor.

Don't know who that was addressed to.. but yes the box that all the crap goes into.
Personally I could get up to 3 empting it out and plopping it back in. Never went past 3 turns tho.

If you were to disassemble the motor I think you'd find toner fused to all the warm parts. Eventually the filter will get holes ... the first clue is the black spot on the wall next to your vacuum. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Robot Vacuum. You've coated all the hot parts of the motor in toner.

My current vac is 15yrs and going strong.

Has anybody got one? Am becoming rather disabled and wonder if having one would make vacuuming easier for me can anybody recommend a specific model? A specific list of pros and cons pros would be really helpful. Thanks.

    SCS 497AJN Electronic Service Vacuum

Available from Amazon at $279.00 and a number of other online suppliers. If you have someplace where you currently get tools, parts and tools kits, contact them to see if they carry them. SCS vacuums used 3M service vacuums.
