3m toner vacuums division was sold to SCS inc. Now you get the same vacuums under the SCS brand. (see the updated katun accesories catalog).

My vote is also 3M. I used a Convac for many years, good vac but 3M still better. Not sure if you know but you can buy replacement parts for 3M vacs, motors, switches, etc. Instead of $200-300 for a new vac prob could replace a the motor, wiring harness & switch for $50-$100? Just guessing on the prices?

How did you manage to kill a 3M in only 10 years ?

Get another one. Never had good luck with anything but...

I've had a total of (3) 3M vacuums in 30 years, two of which were well used before I ever saw them.

My suggestion is to get another 3M, and only dump the filter 2 or 3 times before replacing filter. If you wait until you see the toner blowing onto the wall, it's too late. You've coated all the hot parts of the motor in toner.

My current vac is 15yrs and going strong.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I had a similar problem with a 3M but was able to clean the toner that had melted to the motor brush holders and prevented them from moving forward as they wore down. Got another 5 years out of it.
