Canon Fileprint 470 L1 Error.

Working on one of these old Microfiche printers... Anyone know if its possible to do a test print on the machine when its not connected the the microfiche machine? The printer had a paper jam, customer removed the jam but is now getting a L1 error (Supply paper to the paper cassette of the printer)
