Did you extract the firmware before copying it to the USB stick?

The USB stick should be formatted FAT32.
The single firmware file comes to you compressed (.zip file extension), and must be extracted before loading to your USB. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Are you sure they are the correct firmware files?

The majority of the time, if firmware does not work for me, it's because they are the wrong firmware files, or no files at all, LOL. =^..^=

Does that mean you extracted them after you placed them on the USB? They have to be extracted to a folder on your computer first, then placed on the USB in the proper folder structure. Most copiers do not like zip files on the USB when doing updates.
