    [Misc] Ricoh MP2352 scan to office365

    mp2352 is it compable with office 365? Tried to configure using registered email address and port number 465 but failed.

    smtp.office365.com requires TLS/StartTLS on Port 587. For Ricoh that support TLS/StartTLS,changing the Port from 465 to 587 with encryption, SSL, enabled. The problem is that the 2352 might be too old to support TLS/StartTLS. Otherwise you will have to use Option 2 for direct sending or a relay server Option 3. See the following Microsoft Support document. Both options required that the customer has a subscription with Microsoft.

    You can also setup a local relay server such as Stunnel. I have also encountered large IT companies that provide relay service.

      SMTP Auth enabled on the account with an app password created for use?

      At this point for anything older than a 54 series we've recommended STunnel to all of our clients as an SMTP relay. It has the added advantage of working with any device that can't do encrypted SMTP connections.
