Riso EZ591U - white streak down page, looking for advice on tph

Hello everyone, I am a small press in CT who recently acquired a Riso EZ 591U. It has appox. 75,000 copies and 400 masters on the meter. It was running smoothly up until a week ago when a thin, clean, white line began appearing on all of my prints. I was doubtful that it could be a faulty tph considering the condition of the machine but I am beginning to suspect that it could in fact be a premature failure.

A few things I tried:

• cleaning the tph
• resetting the Riso
• printing with different drums
• printing from file, scan, and test
• changing photo orientation
• increasing voltage to tph
• running confidential prints
• adjusting the picker finger
• replacing master roll
• changing power outlets

All with no success. The thin white line remains in the same orientation and width no matter what I do.

Now I know that the tph is one of the most expensive components to replace in the Riso, but I am hoping that someone might have any last tips or tricks up their sleeve before I decide how to proceed. I've owned the Riso for just about two months, and can't fathom replacing the tph this early. But I am not experienced enough to determine the necessity to do so on my own.

If you make a master by either printing or in service mode (which it sounds like you have) and you still have the white line, it's the TPH.
Sounds like you tried everything else to no avail.

Thank you for your response, I figured as much (though at the time I was in denial). Since I began this thread I've been able to find a replacement TPH which I'm sure will put this ordeal to rest. Fingers crossed!
