Hello dear community,
Currently I print directly from my imac under osX Mojave. Everything works fine. But I will have to update my imac to big sur or newer because some of the software is no longer supported. And from big sur on you can no longer install ppds, so printing from my computer will no longer be possible.

So in order to be able to print on via my SC7950 I just bought an old ibook with os9 (lives) on it.
The laptop already is connected to my network and finds the Rip. I have a bunch of different .ppd files which I put in the "Printer descriptions" folder on the ibook. But somehow when they don't show up when I try to add a ppd for the printer. Only all the Laser writer pro xxx show up.


Any idea how to install the Rip on my classic ibook?
