Anybody have any opinions on working for Canon USA as a field service tech?

I worked for OCE’ in SE Kansas 10years ago, when they were bought out by Canon. Then I was transferred to St Louis and laid off about 7 months later. Working for Canon seemed to be just like any other dealer; they ask quite a bit with not much pay. I wonder what happened to the OCE’ bunch I worked with at that time, if any of them are still left. Out of the 8 original techs I knew in St Louis, one was still employed there a year later.
