    Paper Texture settings

This is a random question, but here goes. The machine I'm on is a Lexmark T654, but I assume this is a general question. I know that the paper weight setting will speed up or slow down paper feed through the printer to allow for more/less time in the fuser and better feed, but how much does the paper texture setting play into things? Does the fuser temp change or anything? I've noticed that it doesn't really change paper feed speed and am curious.

    Thanks!

my understanding is the texture is more on the paper feed side of it not fuser temp.. thickness is where temp come into play.. at least that's where it is with Oki - HP & xerox

    Re: Paper Texture settings

Texture in itself can be problematic. Even 75gsm media with a rough texture may not fuse all the way down into the deepest recesses of the texture. The best that you can do is investigate the available Thick Paper media type options, and if there are still areas of this textured paper that do not fuse ... well, select other media. You've done all that you can do. Those areas of the paper are just not getting close enough to the fuser to fuse properly. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
