Looking for feedback on the Kyocera P3045dn printers

I have a customer who wants to finally upgrade their HP-4100 printer. I wanted to put them in the Kyocera P3145dn, but it is on BACK ORDER, I messaged my rep for off-lease equip. & he has a few really low meter (under 15K) p3045dn printers.. I don't have any out in the field & wanted some feedback on if it is a worthy printer to do up to 50K per year?

    Thanks,

Polaris will have all the same basic fuser issues that all other Kyocera sleeve fusers have. Eventually the teflon sheet will dry out. The resulting friction will slow the fuser drive, wearing out gears. There are compensations to be made: firmware, different sleeve lubricant, removing the Teflon sheet ... but it's an ongoing issue. You won't ever get yield, especially at low volume or long sleep times.

The image quality will be about equally mediocre as the other monochrome Kyoceras. You'll see quite a lot of drive related blurring crossfeed on halftones. On text it's less noticeable.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

WOW..... You don't sound like a Kyocera fan at all. I have been Mita/Kyocera since 1986 and I'll admit they have had a few models that were subpar, but I never really thought their quality was mediocre...I agree the newer models have some issues with fusers also. Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated
