I have a MP5002 in the field that has a squeak. Upon investigation the Transfer Belt has shifted to the rear of the machine and rubs against the Transfer Frame. When the belt is moved to a center position the squeak goes away but comes back days later with use of the machine. I have been looking at other MP5002 machines in the field and they all seem to track the Transfer Belt to the rear. However, this is the only one I have had a squeak from. Has anyone come across this before? Can anyone explain why the Belt tracks to the rear? Thanks
Yes it happens on all of them, but only some of them will make noise others seem to be fine running that way. If they do make noise and the customer gets irritated there is actually and updated part and a TSB on the transfer unit. Which all they did was put some plastic stickers on it basically where the belt rubs so it doesn't grind into the plastic, the new transfer unit comes with the belt and blade and all so its best if you can replace it at PM interval.
