    HP 4555 gut job.

Cut to the chase. Jamming at fuser entrance with no image on paper. I go into the sensor checks and see that the reg sensor is not working. The paper size actuators on each side still work, but the "top" sensor does not show. Having never had this before, I call a tech support line and inquired. I was told that to change it, I would have nothing but the 2 steel sides left and one of them would have to come off. I have gone through the manual several times and cannot see which part has the actuator on it.

Have any of you had this repair?

Can anyone point me to the part with that actuator on it?

How about pix from section 4 of the manual?:

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks for the reply, I should have found that myself. Was looking in the parts section between calls. Had 9 today, all HP's. Doesn't appear difficult at all. I am guessing the person I spoke with had never replaced one either.
