Re: HP M477fdn intermittent 59.F0 code

Hi sorry for waking up an old thread, har anyone tried using this file on a machine with a different serialnumber series ? It mentions that its only for specific serialnumbers on the attached webpage, but does not mention that in installation instructions.

I ignore serials if the controller version is not 15101 upgrade it.

The DCCV1_51.prn.HP UPDATE works great! Have done it to several machines with no issues after doing the update. 59.0 error's gone.

Thumbs up Re: HP M477fdn intermittent 59.F0 code

So i Just flashed the machine with the dcc update and it worked, I had a spare dcc in a machine that had a bad fuser that I already scavenged the ITB from just in case, but luckily that was not needed.

    thanks
    Johan

I have never needed to change an ITB for this error.

I've replaced 3 or 4 of these on the single-function (M452) under warranty.

The levers pull down, then, pull slightly out when removing, then push slightly back in and back up when reinstalling. I was afraid I was going to break them as much force as you need to exert to unclip and clip them. Secondary transfer assembly flush?
A flush? Throw that piece of junk in the dumpster and tell your customer to buy a new printer.

Duhh. Why not. Barking on the wrong thread again

Him being a salesman uses that line often.
We have another sales guy here, they both parrot that same line.
What they fail to realize is not everyone has the cash to be able to do that, hence the reason for repair techs.

Is it possible a sticky solenoid to be the reason for 59.F0 in this case? I have replaced solenoids in other models HP printers after 59.F0 error.

There is a solenoid inside the transfer belt that raises / lowers the color transfer belt brushes (think of internal transfer rollers).
If this was sticking, I doubt a firmware patch would fix it, but then when a five-minute software update fixes this, is it really worth going any further.
