    +1 for toner save. I had some head scratching moments due to toner save modes in the past with various makes and models. Lessons well learned when it comes to such 'strange' situations.

    Did you figure this out? I have a similar issue. Cleaned the laser unit, toners are new OEM, Transfer belt is at 50% life. I'm getting the 54.0D.00 thru 54.0D.03 calibration error errordiffusion, also the 54.0C.00 thru 54.0C.03 calibration error consecutive DmaxDhalf every time it calibrates. Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

    It looks like the very last post indicates the problem was that it is in toner save mode.

    It looks like the machine is fine printing black, but has trouble printing grays. That would indicate either being in toner save mode, or something to do with mid shades.

    It turned out to be the transfer belt. Replaced it and ran the calibration, no more error codes and the print quality is back to normal. Hope this helps.
