    LJ P4015x

We just took one in on trade but I haven’t seen many, if any, before. It looks similar to a 4250 on inside, are they as reliable as 4250’s ? Will they go a million + pages ?
    Thanks,
    Dave

The few I sold new out of the box seem to be working good. I like this model much better than the 600 series. This is probably the last HP with that 4250 footprint moving toward the Ent 600 crap with their F/W, fuser, hdd, etc,etc issues!

HP printers are moving in the wrong direction.......THROW AWAY JUNK!

New HP model= 1 mil pages hahaha

    + 1 to copyman comments

NO WAY on the million pages.. the LJ4xxx line were meant for HEAVY OFFICE work.

4015 is a good HOME/Small office printer... 600,000+ is getting GREAT service from it

most of the newer HP printer line is trash.. messes up? TOSS it.

I agree with the other 2 guys, HP seems to be moving in the wrong direction. While I'm mainly a kyocera copier tech, I've always sold and serviced certain HP printers as an additional income source. Starting with the hp 4 & 5, moving on up to the 4000's and 4100's, then to the 4014 & 4015 series, and now the M601,602,603 series machines. All have been workhorses and dependable, and usually fairly easy to work on unless you have a drive train problem. I haven't seen many reach the million mark before the drive train craps out and it is usually more effiecient to replace with a used one with a low count that can be purchased cheap than it is to repair. As far as the brand new one's coming M607.m608 and whatnot, HP apparently decided to discontinue their workhorse line of printers because these are designed on the low end model that you get from office depot. They are cheaper to buy brand new than the older ones were, but they're not going to last as long. Plus, the Maintenance Kits are only good for 150k instead of 225k and they cost more, so any savings you might have gotten up front will be spent down the road. You always gotta keep your eye on HP and their tricks, like the one with the 4014 not being able to take a high yield toner cartridge. FYI, an aftermarket toner will fit both 4014, 4015 series and the M601,M602,M603 series but an OEM will not.
