I can't believe i got this mixed up, but does anyone know which slot on the electronics module is attached to which slot on the carriage pca?
I wish those things were labeled.
Or maybe they are and my eyes are too bad to see it.

You have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. If it's wrong you'll just get an 11:11 error. It won't hurt anything, thankfully.

Many moons ago I worked for a service company that repaired a cutter/printer. They had converted the DJ 5000 into a cutter. Part of it included a set of cables very much like the trailing cables--2 ribbons exactly alike. They folded over one another and it was a situation where they could easily be switched, depending on how they were folded. I ended up getting it wrong and blowing a $2000 board. I lost my job over that mistake... so I've been darn careful since then.
Yeah, on the 5x00 and especially the 105xC, if you got it wrong it would blow the main PCA. On the B models of the 1050 they finally put a fuse on the board because even HP's own techs were blowing boards left and right. I did it myself once.
