Designjet T7100 Stuck on initializing
Dear,
I'm new in this forum and thanks for acceptance.
I have a problem with HP T7100 , it stuck at initializing while starting , I change the hard disk but still the same problem the LED lights are the blue ON and the three formatter ON , I did upgrande the firmware but still the same problem , I can enter the diagnostic menu and every test I would do it need restart and after restarting the machine it freeze , I remove all ink and printheads and paper still the same .
Any suggestions please.
Many thanks

Re: Designjet T7100 Stuck on initializing
I'll see what I can find out, but my first guess would be the formatter needs to be replaced. Hopefully I'll have a better answer Monday.

Re: Designjet T7100 Stuck on initializing
Thank you Kiran for your replay,
Is there any way that I can test the formatter, Although if I enter the diagnostic menu and leave the machine for about 5-10 min without touching any bottum it will freeze and if I make the scan axis test it start the initializing and freeze.
the freezing is not constant .
Thanks again

Re: Designjet T7100 Stuck on initializing
There very first choice in the diagnostics tests the electronics, I would try that.
I would try disconnecting everything from the formatter except the power and front panel, and see if you get an error instead of it freezing. If you do, then reconnect things one at a time and boot it again, see if you can find a specific item causing the problem.
Since the hard drive comes without the firmware, were you able to install the firmware on the new drive via USB? Was the drive new from HP?
