A customer 400 miles away has a 44" T1100 that DOES NOT cut between pages when he sends multiple pages. It will cut at the end of all pages. Obviously I'm trying to talk him through this as he is 400 miles away. He is not one to easily take instruction.
So looking for a straightforward LIKELY solution.
I HAVE GIVEN UP ON HIM FOLLOWING ANY OF MY INSTRUCTIONS; I'M GOING TO HAVE TO HEAD TO CHICAGO.
I think it could come down to: a. delete present driver, download latest driver, and reinstall driver, b. syncing up paper in the printer and front panel and in driver software, c. resetting EEROM, d. reinstall firmware (I'm pretty sure it has the latest; but I'm not sure I can do this--I think I have done it on more recent models.), etc. a. is basically noted at the end.
I'm thinking if it "FORM FEEDS & CUTS" then it is software related.
Besides these I have told him the following and have the following advice from associates:
1. Maybe cutter is off. Turn it on or enable it in the menu.
2. Turn nesting off - front panel--turn it "off" or "disable".
3. Also after getting into menu (press menu button), select the paper icon, be sure selected paper is "plain" or "bright white inkjet". If not change it to one of those. (i.e. Select one that does not turn off the cutter.)
4. Also, in "control panel" and under "devices and printers" right click on the t1100 printer, select "printing preferences", select "features", be sure "disable automatic cutter" is NOT selected, click "apply", click on "ok".
Another tech has told me:
"If it attempts to cut at the end of each page but fails, then replace the cutter and possibly the encoder strip.
Otherwise, replace the PCA mainboard."
Still yet another tech has told me:
“The plotter settings are all subject to instructions coming from the plotter driver. Try downloading a new driver and install it. Tell the customer to use the default setting before modifying any settings in the driver.”
Frustrating--he's 400 miles away.
Thanks
