98.00.02 Corrupt data in the solutions volume

Data corruption has occurred in the solutions volume.

    Recommended action:
Turn the product off, and then on.
Use the Format Disk item in the Preboot menu.
    Reload the firmware.

Did you order a new/unused HDD? Did it come with instructions on installing it?

I was trying to Format disk in the preboot menu but didn't help! The HDD's its not new/unused, i will try with new one. If the size is under 320 GB is that a problem?

When it comes to HDDs, I NEVER order refurbished/used ones.

    5851-6712 - 320GB Encrypted HDD kit

It should come with instructions on installing it. I remember installing a few of these and after it's physically installed into the machine, you are placed into the Preboot menu and you have to unlock (or something) the drive. I don't remember exactly, but, I vaguely remember something like that before the drive will work.

Is it matter the brand of HDD, if I use different brand from this kit?

If you ordered the part number I provided, it will come in a box with instructions on how to install it. Whatever HP sends will work.
