HP PageWide Managed Color MFP E77650

Just setup or first HP and during testing couldn't figure out how to eject the usb thumb drive. Is it safe to just pull it out or is there something I'm missing. Couldn't get an answer from any of the manuals/WISE. Thanks in advance, Bob

i take it you were doing firmware or such?

    did it finish successfully ?

if the light on the USB is out. then remove it.

really should have explained what the issue was and the results.

IMHO the pagewide printers were crap.. the printbars failed WAY before time even with Genuine OEM inks. And the were a bitch to replace.

I was just testing print from usb from the walk up port. I don't see an eject option after job completion. I'm with you on the pagewide feelings. Hopefully this trial only goes as far as the demo room.

I've never been able to find an eject function. These are some of the most user unfriendly machines I've ever seen. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Afaik Konica Minolta and Brother printers also don't have Eject functions like PCs. Just checked HP manual, also missing this.

    Hi there!
There is really no function for the thumbstick, find it not on any HP i´ve seen (with future smart 4 FW ). Pull it out and hope not to kill the drive.
    Greetings...
