Hp latex 360
Good morning all
I have a issue with hp latex 360 printer
Having error 42:03, scan axis error
Where can I locate the motor?
Is it carriage motor or media feeding motor?
Can anybody have video to replace motor
Thanks
Manoj

Re: Hp latex 360
The scan axis would be the path the carriage travels. Make sure there's nothing blocking it; paper, foreign objects. With the printer off, pull the maintenance cartridge forward, then pull the carriage out and slowly push it from one end to the other, feeling for any obstruction or resistance. If the carriage is always in the same place when the error occurs, it's usually a sign of where the problem is. Inspect the belt, that's usually the #1 problem when it comes to carriage movement.
If it all looks OK, then run the Scan Axis test and see what you get.

Re: Hp latex 360
Never came across a Latex, but, maybe a dirty encoder strip?
Kiran's advise is your best bet, though.

Re: Hp latex 360
A problem with the encoder strip usually causes a 86:01 paper jam message. A 42:03 has to do more with the load put on the motor moving the carriage.
I should have also mentioned that the carriage rail needs to be oiled if it hasn't been. This is a routine end-user service item that often goes ignored.

Re: Hp latex 360
Hi
I just service it and reinstall the carriage
Error is gone but there is two or three vertical line appears on left side of the printout
I feel a jumbing or small sound while carriage moving on that perticular position, there is nothing obstruction on carriage, while move by hand no sound but printing time small sound is there. The vertical line comes
Exactly where the sound comes from
Is it with the problm with encoder?

Can you post a picture of what you are describing? Is the carriage rubbing the media there?

Re: Hp latex 360
Hi
Gd morning
Issue is solved, replace encoder, printout is fine
Still little noise is there while carriage move in left side of printer. I suspect upperside bush on carriage may cause., but I wonder why it seems only at left side.
Thank you for the replay

Re: Hp latex 360
I don't see that this carriage has that upper bushing like the T/Z series has. Guessing it might just need lubrication?
CQ869-67077 - 100 ml. synthetic oil for carriage
6040-0855 - LUBRICANT-OIL SYN 5.8-CS ROHS
