HP LJ 700 M775
I'm working on an HP Lj700 that has a code 13.85.FF paper jam. I have checked all sensors in the upper right door assemble, and the document feeder. thank you in advanced.

Hmmmmm......
.FF
There's no mention of the .FF from the latest CPMD (5/2020), but, .F1 pertains to The staple tray paper presence sensor (SR4) on the stapler/stacker detects a presence of paper when the printer is turned on.
Does this have the stapler/stacker accessory? Maybe check in there?

Re: HP LJ 700 M775
- Code: 13.80.FF --- This was the only .FF code i could find.
- Display: 13.80.FF
- Description: Stapler/stacker inlet sensor residual jam. The inlet sensor (SR9) detects a presence of paper when the printer is turned on.
- Remedy: 1. Open right-middle door, and then remove any jammed media from the fuser. 2. Open right-upper door, and then remove any jammed media. 3. If the error persists, replace the feed guide assembly.
- Code: 13.85.F1
- Display: 13.85.F1 Jam inside right cover
- Description: Stapler/stacker outlet sensor 2 residual jam. The staple tray media presence sensor SR4 detects a presence of paper when the product is turned on
- Remedy: 1. Open right-upper door, and then remove any jammed media. 2. If the error persists, replace the operation assembly.

Re: HP LJ 700 M775
Yes it does have a staple/ stacker. I have blown all the sensors out in the stacker. Yes I have looked at the manual and I can't find the Code anywhere. It is also saying " ! Please wait checking Printer......." and Message ... " please wait checking printer".

Re: HP LJ 700 M775
Maybe remove the staple cartridge and make sure there aren't any staples stuck. I came across an M680 that had a bunch of mangled staples in the staple cartridge and the cavity where the staple cartridge installs into.

Re: HP LJ 700 M775
I've read somewhere that .FF could be thrown as a "generic code" for other issues not related to a jam. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
RM1-9442-000 is the number for the Staple/stacker "operation assembly" (pretty spendy). The 13.85.F1 code says "if the error persists to replace the operation assembly".
Or like others have said, make sure there aren't any staples jammed up somewhere.
Got any other machines to swap parts with?

No I don't have another machine. Maybe I will try to remove it and see if it will start to work or give me a different code.
