hp m428 no power
Just wanted to run this by someone. My inclination is to replace the low voltage board. I checked that there was proper wall voltage and it was feeding into the board. the fuses were good. Checked contact points in the second stage & it didn't seem like there was voltage coming out. It seems obvious, but I wanted to check if someone has run across anything not obvious.
The customer said they were pulling out a jam from the adf and then it just shut down. I wonder if it caused some kind of backfeed, and it may have caused a domino effect and damaged another board & how would you check for that ? Or maybe it was just a coincidence that it blew out at the same time. It was plugged into a power strip which was on, & didn't come on when plugged directly in the wall. It's rare that I've personally seen a power board go out, so I'd like to be sure I'm heading down the right path.
Thanks for your input
