Color LJ MFP M281fdw LE Reg copies off glass

When copying off glass each successive copy out from , single scan to single page copy , the Lead edge increases about 1 mm . If I do a "Restore Defaults" and make copies , the 1st page out looks fine and each successive page , single scan to single page copy , same problem . All print and internal pages seem fine no matter how many I run . If I make copies using the ADF , they seem stable . Tried adjusting the Alignment , this did not help . My parts supplier suggested that it is a scanner problem , but the customer does not want to spend more money as we just recently replaced the fuser as per their request , getting more expensive than they want to spend . Thanks in advance as always , Ark .

Have you noticed if the scanner returns to home position each time it scans (if you make a mark on the platen cover beyond the trail edge of the original, does it appear on scans/prints)? When the job is complete/reset button pressed, does it scan the first page again in the correct position?

So theorically the image could walk completely off the page if you made enough scans off the glass.

Have you tested this on scans only, not printing?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
