HP Neverstop Laser 1001NW "won't turn on"

I have a customer, brought in this HP Neverstop Laser 1001NW printer. I'd never seen one before.

Customer says they came back from vacation, tried to turn the printer on, but nothing. I pulled the covers, tested the fuse on the power supply and confirmed that I'm getting 120v to the power supply board. I removed the board and reset all the connectors, I tested the function of the interlock switch, and the keyboard. Still dead. Probably not worth fixing, not impressed with this machine, but thought I'd run it past you all...

    Thanks,

    Robin

Are there any of the typical outputs from the power supply board? 5vdc, +12vdc. -12vdc, 24vdc?n Any blown fuses? Can you live measure voltages to/from the fuses?

    =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I attempted to test the outputs, but they come off a ribbon connector and not easy to test. I have no manual or schematics, it's a small inexpensive machine. If it needs a new power supply, it's probably toast. :-(

    Thanks for the response...

edit, and yes I have power at the fuse and up to the transformers on the PS. I looked carefully for any damaged components, and reseated all the connectors.

In situations like this I try to talk the enduser out of the call. Odds are that 1 hour labor won't get them any closer to a working machine. Just bad news, and a bill.

Yeah, it was slow or I'd have told him to chuck it in the trash.

Just making sure I didn't miss something simple....

Found this from the Troubleshooting Manual on the product:

If startup noises are not heard, check the following:
    1. Turn the printer off, and then replace the formatter (5HG80-60001) (the engine can not turn on with the formatter removed).
    2. Turn the printer on, and then listen for startup noises. If normal startup noises are heard, go to step 5.
    3. If normal startup noises and lights are still not present, replace the engine controller assembly.

    5. Print a configuration page to test the printer.
    – Press and hold the Resume button for 3 seconds to print a configuration page.
