HP M402 and M404 old firmware that works wit compatible cartridges

Hi All

Does anybody have a link to the old firmware for the HP M404 and M402 old firmware that allows compatible cartridges to work. Of course HP don’t go back that far or I don’t see it. I sold a customer a new M404 and now he wants to return it because it don’t work with compatibles. Thanks HP
