Just had this error today, paper pick up roller slightly out of position.
With cassette installed 60.02.
Restart with cassette removed and paper in manual feed, it works, put cassette back in all good!
Weird.

When you think you have made a procedure idiot proof your company employs a better idiot.
The only thing good about these machines is the ability to get cheap aftermarket toners on ebay. Fusers are expensive, don't last long, and are a pain to change. Make sure to turn off automatic firmware updates, HP has gotten sneaky and cheap and has been sending out updates that will disallow aftermarkets like they don on the newer models. Hasn't hit this model yet, but I'm sure it's coming.
Had this error today 60.02 with cassette installed, with cassette removed and paper in manual feed it got to the ready state but when trying to print the machine made all the right noises but didn't feed the paper.
On closer inspection I noticed the separation roller was pressed against the paper feed roller, normally there is a gap of about 4mm between these rollers. I was convinced it was a problem with the cam on the pickup assy.
Here is what it looked like when I took it out. The cam is out of position.
Here is the "home" or correct position
This might help someone insane enough to attempt this repair !
