HP DesignJet 4500 - Won't Power Up
I have a client who has a HP DesignJet 4500 that won't power up. The power supply has an amber light showing that it has power. The board that it is connected to has one green light. All cables are seated snuggly. I have looked through the service manual and the only thing I haven't found was the "Front-Panel Cable" since I don't see a way to open up the right side of the printer where the panel and power button is. Anyone have any suggestions on what direction I should go? TIA!

Re: HP DesignJet 4500 - Won't Power Up
if I recall correctly the trailing cable being worn could blow a few fuses on the formatter, there should be 3 leds glowing on the machine next to the amber light.

I'd start with getting the service manual, and follow the troubleshooting steps so you understand what the LEDs indicate.

Second thing I would do is unplug the power for at least 10 minutes, then plug it in again and test.
