Strange issue. Kinda at a loss.

Replaced an LVPS due to no power. Worked great for a month.

Customer placed another call for no power. Figured I got a bad power supply. Replaced the LVPS again.

Customer just placed ANOTHER call yesterday (3/12) for no power AGAIN.


The only other device connected to the power outlet is a little label printer. Nothing else.

Could the fuser be destroying the LVPS? Any ideas???

Ouch! That is strange. I would put printer on a surge / noise suppressor. Or they sell monitor that you leave plugged into same outlet and see if line voltage is issue. Hope you aren't paying for all those LVPS and maybe HP is covering with dealer warranty

Luckily, HP (through my supplier) did warranty the first one. My supplier told me HP didn't want the faulty one back.

Not sure if they will warranty another one, though.

I can try that as that little label printer is confusingly plugged into a surge suppressor. It's the only thing plugged into it.

So, an update.....

Went back today with another LVPS. The printer was indeed not powering on.

I checked some voltages and all seemed okay. I didn't do ANYTHING to the printer and once I plugged the power cord in that was plugged into the wall outlet, it powered on!

I'm confused. I don't know.

Put the printer all back together and it was still working.
