Palo Alto, CA (Oct. 21, 2021) — The HP Instant Ink subscription service is projected as a $500 million business, registering 30% growth over the previous year. The news, reported by CRN, was revealed during HP’s 2021 securities analyst meeting on Wednesday. More than 10 million Instant Ink subscribers pay a monthly fee for automatic ink replenishment when their supplies dwindle, the publication said, citing HP executives. Subscriber levels doubled during the pandemic to satisfy work-from-home needs of clients. HP expects to expand Instant Ink subscriptions to include toner and printing paper. An SMB version of the program is slated to launch in 2022, CRN reported.
