    BH-C-3100p, password....

Got from a wholesaler a BH-C-3100p color printer with only 3K on the clock. Would like to use it myself at home but cannot access the web interface with the usual administrator passwords like 123...... and 927.... etc. Any ideas please?

A Tech Manual would come in handy too.....

    Thanks

    Hans

Is it set to DHCP or Static? Either could work.

If it's DHCP, use the hostname as your port. If it's Static, and within your IP range (two really big 'Ifs'), you can re-issue the IP already loaded on the MFP. Or you can print via USB and ignore the IP4 interface. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It has a static IP and I can call up the public user webinterface but for the administrator webinterface it needs a password. All the to me known passwords like 123etc. and 927etc. do not work.

    Hmm, new idea.
Enter service mode, page 132 of manual, then read page 149 how to go to Billing setting. Last page 156.
    Good luck

    Had this trouble minutes before.
    Password ok but,
after three false inputs from customer, you have to restart the printer.
Korrekt pass will not accepted until restart.
Doing it, password input, anything OK.

When entering the Billing Setting make sure to hold the Cancel/Access key for exactly 2 seconds. I tried holding it longer thinking it would be better but no, it didn't work at all. It has to be exact.
