Hi,
The finisher was working fine attached to Bizhub 754. The client moved the machine to another place and on arrival I found the cables unplugged. After that the machine acts as if nothing is attached to it. The finisher main board has some LEDs that light up and that is all it does.
i came across that scenario.
had to replace the finisher board AND the board in the bridge unit then all was well.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
Also don't ask me for files without a contributor badge.
I haeard from coleague who have problem like this,fried fns board propably with static electricity.
He got info from KM when dissconnecting connectors always unplug first small connectors with many wires and last one power connector where is ground to main body.
When connecting finisher procedure is reverse,first connect power connector.
If the finisher was unplugged from a powered on machine, you likely have a fried Finisher control board.
I'd bill the customer for it....that wouldn't be covered under a service contract.
Agreed that that should be billable. All maintenance agreements i know of prohibits the customer from relocating the machines by them selves.

Just FYI: if you find that you've accidentally unplugged an accessory on a live machine... Don't immediately plug it back in. That is when the damage mostly occurs.
Turn Off the power in the correct order, reconnect cables, THEN power back On.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

This is 100% right.
On these if you yank them out and plug them back in you need to restart the machine to get it working again.
Don't ask me how i know that. Thought to myself what have i done. Then i did it again...

Thanks for your fast answers. I did find another machine to make tests. Turns out it was only the small board on the bridge unit that was fried - part # A2Y1H101
