Update from 3.4 to 4.2 is not successful

Hi, this has happened to me several times.

This happened to me on the bizhub 368 and 308 with version 3.4

I have downloaded the new W4 version but something does not seem to be successful. Initially I tried on 368, I thought of corrupt files so I downloaded one again but it was back on.

Let me explain the problem: the update works successfully. But when I do the dipswitch to switch from 3.4 to 4.2, the web page of the printer seems to have problems.

The new interface appears but the administrator password does not work. The machine model does not come out, the image of the printer is cut off.

So I'm forced to replace with version 3.4
    Any suggestions?

Did you set Software SW 25 to B0 after update to Function Version 4.2 and restart machine?
Also you can try first to go to Function Version 4.0 and next 4.2.

I've found you have to reboot after function version up to get PSWC to work properly. It's something I almost never think about as I seldom have to access PWSC after a firmware update.

Yep, as already stated, you have to turn off main power after making any changes in service mode for them to stick, but especially if you want the PSWC to work correctly. Not having PSWC load correctly happened to me once a few years ago after a F/W update and version up and I learned my lesson.

ive had problems logging in when i set the function version higher than the firmware supports.

if you roll back to say 4.1 does it work

    I think you are right.

Perhaps, I do not turn off the machine after the DipSwitch. Today I updated a 458 from 3.4 to 4.2 without problems.

    Thanks!
