Bizhub C552 - SMB version upgrade? firmware?

Hi guys
after pulling my hair out on setting up a SMB scan folder on our new domain (server 2019, and freenas).

turns out the workgroup needs to be set as the domain name inorder for the bizhub to do the correct AD user auth.
e.g
SMB settings > Print settings > workgroup. set to XYZ (in caps). if for example the domain is xyz.local

anyway, after endless "server connection failed" errors later.

I realised the SMB the printer was using was version 1! FFS

Is there any firmware updates to upgrade to v2 or v3?

Scan to email, we use a gmail account as do many other owners of these old boxes.

Or if the client must have SMB use a NAS drive.
