    C759 C659 thin lines on color IU at 60 K - 90 K

Hi, is there someone else that has got IU 712 M/C/Y that has not reach more than 30 -50 % life?
I have 2 different machines with that issues so far.
loks like there is some toner on the charge cl . and a very thin line on the drum..

Just wondering that I am alone, and is there anything to do ?

I also have 2 different machines that fairly consistently have IUs fail early for thin lines.

I can't explain why, but it's usually cyan that fails early. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

off topic, but why did konica go back to IU in the CX59 series vs the CX58 series with DV units and separate drums for all colors?

What is the page coverage like?

We have tons of c659-c759 in the field.

It’s a roll of the dice for when the lines start but for us it’s usually pretty close to end of life anyway.

Because the c759 is just the continued evolution of a specific engine that started out as a CF2001.

The smaller separate drum and dev engines are an evolution of the old c360 series.

looking for either as a backup machine, mainly for scanning but light production, i like the split dv and drum units as drums fail before DV units.

what are you thoughts on reliability and lower cost to operate?

You are correct. There is a new waste box type with modified inside spacers/ columns to improve waste toner flow. It will have a small round plastic nip on the back side distinguish from the old box.
There is a tech. bulletin about it.
