    Every Brother knows that
They used to have no admin password by default at all before year or two. True that.

FYI..the default admin password for the 5000i/5020i IS NOT initpass. You must print out a config sheet..At the bottom of page 4 is "initpass" which shows the actual generic password. Even my KM support group wasn't aware of this and requested that I replace the main board to correct this..It wasn't until after I pointed out that 2 more 5000Is were doing the same thing that they were willing to look a little deeper. Actually it used to be initpass until recent changes in regulations especially in USA California.
Did you try to print 77 report in service mode? Should be there at least on Brother original. Also should be on sticker on the back of printer. But that's for Brother not KM rebadges.

    Just an update...

The 5000i is the ONLY machine that the initpass does not work. The 4000i 4020i and 5020i use the initpass..What a nightmare..E

As I said on Brother originals of ALL these KM bizhub 4020i,bizhub 5000i,bizhub 5020i default password USED TO BE initpass. From some months ago they started to manufacture all new devices with their own individual password.
So depending on date of production your bizhub 5000i may have unique password while older devices have initpass.
This is 100% true for Brother machines and I believe may apply also to bizhub rebadges.
