    C258 Lines when scanning

I have a strange one here. When my customer sends a scan to email with the date stamp turned on it produces a line across the short edge and down the long edge (see sample)SKM_C30819123111510.pdf

If he turns off the date stamp the line is not produced.
I tried it on my shop machine, a C308 and it does the same thing. Firmware is up to date.
If I set the function version to 2.0 on my shop machine the line does not get produced however, it doesn't work on the customer's C258. I'm not sure why.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
    Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks

Well, I went back to look at the firmware list and there is a brand new special firmware that I installed in my shop machine and it seems to have solved the issue.
Next, install it on customer machine and hope for the best. The firmware is GC1-X4

This could also be caused by the quality of the scan? They look like they could be compression marks, and caused by shadowing on the edges. Try different scan settings and see if you get the same issue. Also check to see if it being scanned as black or grayscale.
