KM Pro C5501 Command Workstation

Hi all,

We've got a user who's PC running Command Workstation has been damaged after a Power Surge.

As far as I'm aware the IC-408 using CW 3. I can't seem to find the download on the EFI website. Does anyone have a copy they could send me please?

Wow.
Go to the fiery Web page and click downloads tab and download CWS right from the fiery.
There should be a pop up about updating to the latest once it has been installed and run.
Also 3.1 has been dead for a long time. Just get the latest from efi or like I said above

Second that
If for whatever reason you're unable to access the fiery via a browser using it's IP address and getting the download as synthohol said, then google, Fiery Command Workstation 5.8, which is readily available from the efi website.
CWS 5.8 should run your fiery, I don't think even the latest update to your fiery will enable version 6 and above to be used, but I am happy to be corrected on that.

The IC-408 fully supports up to version 5.3.


In the most recent versions, it presents some job configuration errors.

I our case - FYI - we have an instance of CWS 5.8 on our primary mac and use that to 'run'/interface with our older machines.
The c5501 has the IC-305 which is running Fiery system 8, the c7000 has the IC-306 which is running system 9r2.
Both these have CWS 5.3 installed on the fiery.
We also had a c6501 with the embedded fiery IC-408, can't remember the system though and CWS 5.8 happily ran that from the mac.
We then have an instance of CWS 6.4 on our main PC which runs all the more recent presses and an MFP.
We use both versions as there are some useful additions to the latest versions of CWS and of course version 6 does not run any fiery with systems before 10, as I understand it.
