Bizhub C6000/7000 Error code C-281X

Why does this line of codes make my hair fall out?


On the C6500 models, it was simple. Just clean the drum's potential sensor and it was resolved.


C6000 / 7000 does not have the sensor and the machine that presents the error has new drums, developers, coronas, transferbelt.


According to manual, the reasoning is:


• Printer control board
(PRCB)
• Developing unit / K
• IDC sensor (IDCS)
• IDC solenoid shutter
(SD3)


But I can guarantee that everything is in excellent condition.

Might seem like a dumb question, but are the corona's good?

Check the connection of the process carriage drawer connectors for proper connection.

Ok, you had mentioned the C6000 doesn't have potential sensors, but it does. Still same spot under dev units.

C-281* Isn't related to the toner density or the TCR sensors. It's due to an error while undergoing gamma correction. Gamma is done by drawing a patch of color and it's density is read off the transfer belt by the IDC sensor. If the IDC sensor is dirty, or the solenoid/shutter isn't working it can result in the C281* code. Problems with the trans belt cleaning, drum, coronas, or a dirty slit glass can also affect it.
Toner density can affect it, but a depleted developer will likely throw a C242* code.

However, I notice that the black color is formed with a lighter density than the other colors, that's why my case C-2814.


When Recall is performed within the Process Adjustment, the equipment operates normally for a while, around 600 pages, but soon shows C-2814.


In fact, it happened right after doing a great job with high black coverage. Then a new job with zero black coverage. Started the mistake that won't let me sleep ...
