C223 Paper jam in ADF unit

Hello. When I try to copy multiple pages, I get a paper jam message. On the display I see the codes 21, 23, 24.
Sometimes 22. There are a few pictures in the appendix to illustrate this.

I think a roll must be exchanged. Only which one?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, first I would try to clean them first.
There is not necessarily any worn roll. Some sensors may be dirty

Clean all the rollers on the ARDF that are accessible to you with no disassembly required with a damp paper towel. Use a compressed air can to remove paper dust from the inside of the ARDF. If the problem persists, then the pick-up, feed and separation rollers of the ARDF may need replacing.

From my experience, some originals just don't play along well with the ARDF. For example, originals that have a lot of toner where the pick-up rollers grip the paper to pull it inside the unit usually slip and cause a jam.

Finally, the only sensor that needs to be cleaned is the original size sensor, located right about at the middle of the ARDF top tray.

In the third picture, the square whole, the black patch looks a little white. Use some scotch tape and clean that out. In picture 4, that flap flips down, right before the white bar, and there is a black patch there too. Clean the paper dust off of that one too. Scotch tape is good for that.

    Congratulations on your success. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hey, just my 2 cents.. I have many of these in the field, and the best way I have found to avoid these intermittent jams(after everything is clean of course) is to set the scan rate to 600DPI, and compact PDF mode. Lock those settings in through the user settings. It slows the feeding and somewhat stabilizes the feeding. Work for me every time...
