SSD is behind the HDD on that model. It would never boot up if missing!

Never seen this layout?
Whatever
SSDB is behind HDD on non e-series and over the memory sticks on e-series. This machine should be non-e, is my guess.

- The troublecode C-2650 may occur after starting the MFP by turning a main power switch off/on or returning from powersave mode.

No matter if you believe this to be a C224e model or not, that board belongs to a C224, there is no way around that. SSD is behind the HDD. Oh, and in your picture, the HDD is disconnected, had you already looked behind it?
