    MAC reporting image units expired

Maybe a silly post but here goes.

We have a C308 that all image units are @100% print quality is fine & no message on the screen.

However the MAC users get a message that the image units need to be replaced, Windows users don’t!

Is there a way to “turn off” this warning for the mac users, SNMP maybe?

(Please don’t suggest replacing the IU’s lol)

Of course, disable SNMP. The only problem is if you use monitoring software, it may not work

Alternatively, instead of disabling SNMP why not change the community name and change accordingly in your monitoring software. That way nothing but the software will use it

Switch 230 deals with MIB (Management Information Base), I believe it will stop warnings for both MAC and Windows users.

    Set it to 'Not display'.

I would advise against any changes to the SNMP string settings, or disabling the protocol. You may solve you MAC issues, but you will now have worse PC issues. E

The best solution is to disable it from the driver. So it also solves problems of any "offline printer" reports. On Windows it's a very simple flag, on MAC I don't know.

You can update your changes driver side too. It's actually best practice in terms of network security, to not run standard SNMP trap names
