C300i - Color Cast on Scans

Hi everyone,

i have a problem withy my scans having a magenta color cast. This behavior occurs randomly, maybe once out of 10 scans.
The whole document will have the color cast, it doesn`t matter how many pages, or which settings (resolution e.g.)

I attached two PDFs with one having the cast and one scanned normally as it should be:

Normal.pdf

ColorCast.pdf

Scanner: DF-714 DualScan
Firmware: AA2J0Y0-0100-G00-7B(00) - Function Version: 1.0

Settings are alle pretty much standard. No additional software installed.

Are your scan settings configured for strictly B&W or Auto Color Detection???

If you are duplex scanning does it show on side two?

I always scan using auto color detection, so it shows on auto color. I don`t scan B&W.

I need to try this. The scans so far were only one sided.

Edit: It also appers on the original glass.

I always scan using auto color detection, so it shows on auto color. I don`t scan B&W.

There ya go!!! Sounds like it is flip-flopping between b&w and color during auto detect...set to strictly b&w and see what kind of results you get!!!

Possibly a "white balance" calibration issue during auto color/b&w detect. There should be a way to adjust the sensitivity!!!

I highly doubt that is a setting issue. It looks like CIS assembly or cable. We used to see this occasionally on the 8 series.

Okay, i just tried scanning double sided. And it only shows on the 1st side(s).
So the DualScan CIS seems not to be affected.

Edit: Also it just appered on 4 separate scans in a row, just to disapper on the 5th one, without changing anything or moving the DualScanner.
