    Search Error Codes

    Greetings,

Is there any website where you can search error codes for all copier manufacturers easily? Preferably mobile friendly.

I'm a service manager that supports multiple lines of copiers and I need a platform for my techs to easily search error messages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Yeah that’s what we’ve been doing but then you end up going down the google rabbit hole.

While down the Google hole, I ran across this site Search Error Codes

Seems very useful and I line the top error codes feature.

That's the one right there... Been making use of their Error Code area for a number of years now. Quick and easy look up, definitely beats sifting through the service manual. I know in the Konica Minolta area, for the newer models within the last couple years, they have been starting to include jam codes as well, not just the service codes. Very handy!

My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

Sounds like you're doing some sort of advertising here

This hack is not mobile friendly, a bit geeky, and if you dont know what windows file extensions are stop reading here.

This saves you typing "site:copytechnet.com" every time.

How about a file on your desktop that you double click and this pops up, you enter your error code and you get the same results as your suggestion.

Create a new text file, copy and paste the following and save it as whatever you like but the file extension has to be .bat

    @echo off
    set "google=http://www.google.com/search?q="
    set "site=+site:http%%3A%%2F%%2Fwww.copytechnet.com%%2 Fforums%%2F"
    set /p "string=Search Copytechnet for : "
    set "string=%string: =+%"
    start "" %google%%string%%site%
