i would up date to latest firmware and IO Check (99-70) and check if there is a problem with the PRIPB or the writing unit

If your not on a contract knock yourself out. There is a ton of free info out there on how to work on these 6 figure machines..I can't/won't say which info is correct though..Happy to come by and clean up your mess for $175 hour + parts..E
