    c454e fuser 220 volt or 120 volt?

    Gentlemen.
I purchased a fuser for a good price. The box says it is for 110v. The lamp terminal has 4 wires coming out of it. From memory (don't currently have that model in the shop) I thought that connector was 3 wire for 120v. If it is 220v would I need to swap the lamp out to get it to work in the 120 volt machine? Or could I plug it in as is and it will work?

Fuser are voltage specific 120v machines North America , 220v machines other
Usually the pins will not be in the correct location to prevent accidents

    No they are NOT interchangeable
If your Fuser is make for 110v it will work in a 120v machine

Re: c454e fuser 220 volt or 120 volt?

It's very easy to order the wrong voltage fuser. I've had a couple "fix-it-myself" customers substitute a 220VAC fuser. I try to explain that I cannot just swap them for a 120vac fuser, and have no use for a 220vac fuser. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

What is the part number on the box?

No number on the box. There is one number on the fuser itself. It is a bar code. A4F JA723F0054678. I got a good deal on it so if it is 220v I can still use the parts on it.

Unfortunately I bought it overseas. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

If you have no qualms with scavenging parts off of it, you could always spend a little extra time and just swap out the bulbs from an old 120V into that one, the harness connector will swap with the bulbs.

I taken a few apart to change that pesky bearing that wears out. Not too many more steps after that to get to the bulb.
