You have to upgrade to the latest FW and then you will have the option. They call it high speed agitation in the tech pub but its manual toner add in service mode. Do it twice and if that doesnt fix it then you will have to replace the IU.

Sorry by manual i mean the old fashioned way to add a bit of toner in the tank.
If the value goes up it shown life at the TCR sensor.
I would try to recover the developer and then try to find the cause for it not to get toner.
If all seems well it should dwell around 6.5%. If not i will reset the tank with an eyeballed density.

How dense is a half tone at 255? Should be very faint.

Then if you can claim the unit....
    Whatever

    Bad IU. Warranty!

A year passed since initial models and still this issue is not sorted out.

Drums doesn't look like KM (different colour).
    Is this model rebranded?

K should be OK now. Also check other colours for dumping toner to WTB.

For me toner lasted for cca 2000 pages (instead 9000).
If so, replace IU under warranty.

The new FW fixes the issue of the IU failing early. Its a toner agitation issue.
Make sure you disable marketplace and web browser before attempting to update FW. Also, wait at least 20 mins before you pull the plug on it. I have seen these things take forever.
If it still wont go then format the storage board and try again.

I suspected from the start ( a year ago) that this problem is a FW issue.
    But....
When you unpack the printer and after few pages C-2558 is shown on the screen, check TCR value and it shows 12% you can only try to lower the value to 6.5%
At 8% you get very faint printout.
IU replaced and TCR value was normal.
Is this a FW issue? I don't think so.
