Re: Black streak running through prints

Found out it's the drum. We also changed the blade on the IBT. The tech is here and was able to run a few prints stop it halfway then we saw the same pattern that you see the prints.

    Thanks. True.
    Well it's a C454
And as I showed in the photo there are black streaks. What the tech found after stopping prints halfway and pulling the drum was that the same markings in the drum.
So I've ordered two drums but waiting for them to get to the island tomorrow, hopefully.
In the meanwhile we are trying to see what we can get from this black drum as we have some jobs to run. And the Xerox C75 waiting on parts as well. Delivery heavily hampered by Covid man

With the frequent repetition of the marks, i would assume either charge roller in drum unit got contaminated, or maybe a bad spot on the Mag. roller in the dev. unit, or bad seals in that unit.
May be able to clean the charge roller instead of replacing drum unit.
Great stuff the tech cleaned out the roller etc we stop getting the mark. But for sure the black drum needs changing as we aren't getting strong black when we print
But for now it should suffice hopefully till the drums get here either tomorrow or Wednesday, thanks much appreciate the help.

    Hehe.

    Funny stuff.

You could have checked the charge assy on the drum unit.

Going after market can cause some headaches of its own.

    Glad its working.

Thanks to the dentist aka Phil we got some info.
Model numbers and other relevant info like total counters and parts life please.

Ok I've gotten the new black drum and Cyan drum both genuine.but no change. In fact, I'm attaching some pics. One is colour the other same image black and white then a business card that background should be black

My humble opinion says that this is a problem in the development unit. Are you using genuine toner?
Is there any input in addition to working time?
The black development unit may have little revealing, causing these failures

I just changed the unit. Bought a new unit installed two days ago. Guessing it should have genuine powder in there as well.
    Could it be the IBT?

Looking at samples definitely K developer unit is depleted. Those machines can quickly empty developer into WTB if/when they decide to.
